Extended Inquiry Project Final

Draft Reflection

Writing the draft for my EIP took a great deal of time. Since there was not much research on my topic, I had to analyze the research I did have and then come up with my own ideas of why the spread offense developed. The first draft of my EIP only covered why the spread offense took time develop and did not discuss how it developed or if it is here to stay. I found it difficult to not use too much of my prior knowledge on the spread offense. These views would have been biased and not necessarily true. I believe that my EIP draft was a good start to writing my final EIP.

Final Reflection

Wow, it is finally finished. I don't think I have ever spent so much time on writing just one assignment. I hope that some stranger comes up off the street and asks me what the spread offense is because I will be able to talk about it for hours with them. I am happy to now be an expert in a subject I love.

My EIP draft was only five pages long meaning I had to add at least three pages to reach the minimum requirement of eight pages. I wrote about who developed the spread offense and what college programs they developed them at. I also wrote about how the spread offense is most likely here to stay. I chose to elaborate more on what the purpose of the spread offense is in the second paragraph. I also decided to delete the phrase that Lee Corso said on the third page as it does not add to the paper at all.
